Guest will begin their mystical journey into East India with a VIP Meet and Greet at the home airport and board their flight to Kolkata. Arrive at Kolkata Airport and move for a quick transfer in your luxury vehicles to a hotel near the airport for much needed rest.
Due to jet lag this day starts a little late in the morning to give our beloved guests extra time to sleep. After morning showers guests will proceed for a lavish breakfast spread in the hotel and will receive a detailed briefing by a celebrity guest speaker about East India. After this important briefing we will brief the guests about their upcoming itinerary and proceed for a private charter to “Konark”. Konark, home to Unesco World Heritage site ‘Sun Temple’, our guests will check in the hotel and proceed for lunch. After completing lunch the tour moves for a visit to the ‘Sun Temples’, The word 'Konark' is a combination of two words 'Kona' and 'Arka'. 'Kona' means 'Corner' and 'Arka' means 'Sun', so when combines it becomes 'Sun of the Corner‘. Sun Temple of Konark, built in the middle of 13th century, and built with the help of 1200 artisans within a period of 12 years (1243-1255 A.D.) Finishing the tour guests will return to the comforts of their hotel for dinner and retire for the night in their suites.
Our guests will have another opportunity to visit the Sun Temples early in the morning for a sunrise visit of the monuments or else they proceed for breakfast in the hotel. Today guests will visit one of the most sacred temples of East India – Jagannath Temple was constructed by King Chodaganga. The king started the construction and Jaga mohan or the assembly hall and Vimana or chariot of the temple were constructed during his reign. Later Anangabhima Deva completed the construction of the temple in 1174 AD. Guests will transfer in luxury vehicles to this destination. Lunch will be served in an eatery in the city of Puri. Following lunch Guests will complete the visit of this holy shrine and move for a short visit to the nearby Puri Beach. Completing the visit to the beach guests will transfer back to Konark in their luxury vehicles. Dinner will be served in the hotel and guest will rest after their day excursion.
After a well informed visit to the monuments of Konark & Puri our guests will move to the Ancient city of “Bhubaneshwar”. The history of the city stretches back over 2000 years. Bhubaneshwar, the 'city of temples', named after Tribhuvaneswar, 'Lord of Three Worlds', still preserves over 500 of India's finest temples Transfer to this city in your private charter and check in. Guest will have ample time here for relaxation and special SPA treatments at the hotel. Lunch will be served in one of the restaurants in the hotel. Finishing lunch our guests will move for a temple tour around the city. First on the list is ‘Lingaraj temple’, this temple is considered to be one of the oldest structures in India and is believed to be at least 1000 years old. Next visit ‘The Mukteswar Temple’, it is often described as one of jewels of Odisha (Orissa) for its exquisite sculptures and elegant looks. ‘Parasurameswara Temple’ is a small but marvellously decorated shrine of Lord Shiva, is constructed in 650 A. D. Lastly a visit to ‘Brahmeshwara Temple’ built in the 9th century and after a spiritual tour of the famous temples in this city guests return to the hotel for dinner and move to their rooms for the night.
Morning breakfast starts the day with a spectacular spread in this ancient temple city and our guests move to the next attraction of ‘Udayagiri & Khandagiri caves’. The twin hills of Khandagiri and Udayagiri, are the earliest groups of Jain rock-cut architecture in eastern India. There are total 33 rock-cut caves on both the hills out of which, 18 caves are excavated on Udayagiri Hill while 15 are on the Khandagiri Hill. Lunch will be organised in the city today and finishing lunch our guests move to the The “Museum of Tribal Arts and Artefacts” popularly known as Tribal Museum was established in the year 1953. Odisha has over 60 tribal communities adds significance to this unique museum which is the reason and it is also known as “Museum of Man”. Next we will take our beloved guests to the comforts of their hotel for rest and special spa treatments to unwind the day. Evening dinner will be hosted in one of the famous eateries in town and guest return to the hotel for end of the day.
Breakfast will begin this day and guests will transfer in their private charter to the Birth Place of Buddhism, “Bodh Gaya”. The place is a sacred site of the first order, and its central temple, the UNESCO World Heritage listed Mahabodhi Temple. It was here under the Bodhi Tree that Gautama attained supreme knowledge to become Buddha, the Enlightened One. After checking in the hotel guests will unwind for a while and then move on for lunch at the property. First holy visit will start with Mahabodhi Temple. The first temple was built by Emperor Asoka in the 3rd century B.C., and the present temple dates from the 5th or 6th centuries. At the western side of the Mahabodhi Stupa in Bodhgaya stands the large and historic Bodhi Tree under which Shakyamuni Buddha, then known as Gautama, attained enlightenment 2500 years ago. Next we move our enlightened guests to statue of Lord Buddha, it is the tallest in India. Completing the journey of Buddha in this spiritual town, guests will return to the hotel for some rest and dinner. After dinner they retire to the comforts of their rooms for night rest.
Begin this day with a healthy breakfast spread in this holy town and guest move for a helicopter transfer to “Nalanda”. Founded in the 5th century AD, Nalanda, in Bihar, is one of the world’s oldest living cities. It is recognised as one of the ancient world’s great universities and an important Buddhist centre of academic excellence. Lunch will be served in the city of Nalanda. Our distinguished guests will move to their luxury vehicles and take a short journey to Pawapuri, The Jal Mandir meaning Water Temple, meaning a town without sins, is a highly revered temple dedicated to Lord Mahavir, which marks the place of his cremation. Mahavira attained Nirvana in Pawapuri in 528 BC. Next guests will be taken to Rajgir, it is an ancient city in the northeast Indian state of Bihar. Surrounded by hills, Venu Vana park was once home to a monastery built for Buddha. Nearby there are hot springs believed to have medicinal properties. Completing this historic tour of three major sites in Nalanda guests will move for a helicopter transfer back to Bodh gaya. Dinner will be served in the hotel and guest will retire to their suites here.
Begin this day with another health breakfast at the hotel and guest move to next destination of “Darjeeling”. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks. Check in the Tea Estate hotel property and guests will proceed for some lunch at the hotel. Following lunch our guests will rest for a short while and enjoy the picturesque views of the valley and then move for Toy Train ride to Darjeeling to Ghum and Back to Darjeeling. This 2 hour journey will be to Ghum which is the highest altitude station on the Darjeeling Himalayan Rail track. This train is a Unesco World Heritage site. Finishing this breathtaking journey our loving guests will return to the hotel and proceed for dinner at the property.
