    Backwaters

    Start your morning in this backwaters town with an optional activity if you are an early riser or else guests will proceed for breakfast. Following breakfast guests get to try their hand at local fishing Next on the list of enjoyment is a visit to Kakkathuruthu Island (Island of the Crows), a must visit village in this location. Guest will have firsthand experience about the daily life of the villagers and enjoy lunch in this God’s haven with Toddy (Palm Wine). The alcoholic version called toddy in Kerala is mildly intoxicating, and if you're a fan of sweet alcoholic beverages, you are likely to take a liking to it. The non-alcoholic version called neera is the unfermented sap from coconut often called sweet toddy and is derived from the immature inflorescence of coconut. Our beloved guests will return in the evening to the comfort of their hotel and relax and unwind here with some specially designed SPA treatments. Tonight we will whisk our guests for an evening boat cruise on the backwaters along with a night stay on the boat, enjoy the beautiful sunsets and sunrises at this picture perfect location to your hearts delight.

  • Day 09

    Seaside

    Finishing your stay at the house boat on this backwaters town, guests will return to the hotel for some breakfast and then head to their private charter to the beach town of “Varkala”. It’s on the Arabian Sea and known for Varkala Beach, backed by palm-covered red cliffs. Check into this beach town and settle back here with some free time followed by water sports at the beach. Next guests visit the Varkala beach, also known as Papanasham Beach. The word ‘papanasham’ means destroyer of sins. Hence many Hindu people come to this beach to take a dip in the waters to wash away their sins. Varkala Beach is the only beach in southern Kerala to have tertiary sedimentary formation cliffs called the Varkala Formation. There are frequent water jets and spas on the sides of these cliffs and hence is a preferred location for people wanting to sunbathe and swim. After a calming visit to the beach guests will return to the hotel for dinner and nightly rest.

  • Day 10

    Beach & City of Temples

    Early risers get to enjoy some optional morning beach activities or else proceed for breakfast spread at the hotel. Completing breakfast we will take our morning revellers for some relaxed and calm of “Ponnumthuruthu Island”, it is an island which is situated about 12km south of Varkala. This lush island is a perfect getaway for those who seek a break from the urban life. The jetty at Nedunganda village from where the journey to Ponnumthuruthu starts is peculiar. It is a makeshift jetty and the walkway to the ferry is made up of coconut husk, mud and the waste from coir. It will surely be a bird watcher’s delight to visit the island. The mainland on the other side of Ponnumthuruthu is a coir village. There is a small coir-making unit near the ferry. Travellers will visit this unit and learn and try coir making. Lunch will be served here in this island for our distinguished guests. Following the visit to this picture perfect Island we will transfer our guests to “Trivandrum”, Check into the hotel and relax here for while. Evening starts with a night walking tour of the city of Trivandrum followed by local dinner in the city. Guests end their day here and proceed to hotel to retire for the night.

  • Day 11

    City of Temples

    This day starts with breakfast for our esteemed guests to begin their day. Following morning meal the tour proceeds to Shri Padmaswamy Temple, the shrine is one of the most revered abodes of Hindu deity Maha Vishnu; Six huge secret Kallaras or vaults were discovered in the temple which were named A, B, C, D, E and F. The doors were iron-made and the scope to open them was dim. It took utmost toil and hard work to open the secret vaults, and what they revealed was beyond human imagination, bags full of ancient gold coins, diamonds, gemstones, very heavy and huge gold and diamond necklaces. Treasures worth over trillion dollars was uncovered in only 1 vault. The scary door of Vault B has serpent imagery and yakshi to indicate danger to whoever tries to open it. Rest of the vaults remain unopened to this day. Lunch will be served at the local eatery in the town and then guests proceed to next destination on the list “Madurai”, is an ancient city on the Vaigai River. Check in the hotel and take a break for the day with some swimming or SPA therapies. Then our guests will proceed for dinner with some light entertainment.

  • Day 12

    City That Never Sleeps

    The day in “Madurai” begins with some optional activities or else guests will proceed for breakfast in the hotel. Finishing breakfast we will take our refined guests for a temple tour in this ancient city. The tour starts with a mesmerising visit to the Meenakshi Aman Temple, this holy temple has over 33,000 sculptures in the complex, the temple has 12 lofty gopurams (Gateway Towers). Visit the Aayiram Kaal Mandapam in Meenakshi Aman Temple, this is built out of a single rock. Located inside the Meenakshi Amman temple, this hall houses 1000 pillars, which was built during 1569 A.D. Next the tour moves to Shri Thirupparamkunram Murugan temple, the temple is built in rock-cut architecture and believed to have been built by the Pandya’s during the 6th century. Lunch will be in the city in a famous local eatery here. After lunch guests enjoy a rickshaw tour of the city. Explore and unravel the city’s other traits such as banana and vegetable markets, bamboo bazaar, dhobi ghat etc. Dinner will be served at the hotel of stay in this town and guest will retire for the night in comforts of their suites.

  • Day 13

    French & Tamil Quarters

    Breakfast at the hotel will start this day, after which guests will move to the next destination of “Pondicherry”, a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town of India. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. Check in here and have local lunch in the hotel. After lunch our revered guests will visit the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, is an oriental specimen of Gothic Architecture. This sacred structure was built 1902 – 1907 and in recent years it has become one of the famous pilgrimage spots for Christians. Finishing your visit here our guess try out pottery, this will be a short class where guests will get to try making pots and enjoy the evening here. Start your late evening with a Pub crawl in this French quarters followed by dinner in famous café in the city.

  • Day 14

    French & Tamil Quarters

    Early morning will start with some optional activities for our guests enjoyment, if not then proceed for breakfast and then proceed to a stroll through the French and Tamil Quarters here. Next take a in complete sights and sounds of the city on a cycling tour across the city, respectful of the environment but also of the people and their culture while discovering the many faces of this unique city in India, especially thanks to its multiculturalism. Lunch will be organised in the city for our guests, finishing lunch we will transport our guests to Aurobindo Ashram, is a spiritual community located in this city. This place grew out of a small community of disciples who gathered around Shri Aurobindo after he retired from politics in 1910. Sri Aurobindo spent most of his time in writing and meditation. After the spiritual visit to the ashram our guests will head for a relaxing boat cruise and dinner on the boat house. Stay will be at the hotel only and guest will return here after the boat ride and dinner to retire for the night.
